Where is Cornerstone?

Cornerstone is in Northwest Brampton, on the west side of Mississauga Road north of Bovaird Drive West. The Mount Pleasant neighbourhood is directly to the east. The builder's sales office is at 2005 Wanless Drive, Brampton.

Getting around

GO Transit. Mount Pleasant GO Station on the Kitchener line is about 1.9 km away. That is a short drive or bus ride rather than a walk for most residents.

Bus. Brampton Transit serves the Mount Pleasant area, and Züm rapid transit runs along Bovaird Drive to Mount Pleasant GO.

Highways. Mississauga Road runs south to Highway 407 and Highway 401. Bovaird Drive runs east to Highway 410. The province's Highway 413 is planned to the west of Brampton; it has no published completion date and should not be counted on for a purchase decision.

Parks, recreation and community

The site plan shows a stormwater pond and a natural heritage system at the edge of the community. Creditview Sandalwood Park and the Cassie Campbell Community Centre, with its pools and ice rinks, are a short drive away. Mount Pleasant Village has a public library, a community centre and a civic square beside the GO station.

Shopping and daily needs

Most errands are along Bovaird Drive West and in Mount Pleasant, where there are grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and restaurants. This is a new growth area, so day-to-day trips are mostly by car for now, and more retail is expected as the area builds out.

Schools

The area is served by the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. School boundaries change as new communities open, so confirm the assigned schools for a specific lot with the boards before you buy.

Good to know

Cornerstone is at the edge of a growing part of Brampton, so expect construction nearby for the first few years. The builder's site plan shows the Canadian National Railway line to the southwest of the community.
